About us
Ayahuasca and San Pedro are the spirit plants, to say that they awaken the awareness of the spiritual side of a person. They are also the plants of power, providing the momentary capacity to see into the nature of being, the magic of reality, giving a sense of power over one’s current limitations.
These opening, powerful moments are the peak states, that are usually unavailable to us, they are the glimpses into what is possible, the insights about what we could do, how it would be possible to live differently if having this kind of clarity, strength and wisdom in the moment. They are the peak states, not actual realization. Only ourselves can give the direction to these impulses, determining what they can grow and evolve into. This direction is given by our habits, our intention, our motivation and the purpose that is followed in the specific moment of our lives. Consequently the crucial factor in the work with the entheogen or teacher plant is the ground, the spiritual foundation of a person, something that is free of agendas, filled with self truthfulness. The latter is what makes this process become a transformation, a harmonic inner shift of person’s life experience.
This way of learning is an universal approach to the encounters with the shamanic (peak) experiences, bringing them away from the realm of marginal social activity into the field of responsible (trans-) personal, psychological and spiritual (self-)therapy, research and, possibly, a significant element in one’s practice of self-growth.
It is universal because it’s applicable to work with any master teacher plant or other techniques that lead to the peak states. A proper preparation of oneself (ground work) prior to the experience and having the setting that helps the processing and integration, has the crucial importance and is inseparable from the experience itself.
Who are we
We are a group of people dedicated to the work with master teacher plants in an integral practice setting. Some of us are Peruvians, some come from other corners of the world, but what makes us explore these paths together is a clear heart understanding of how a responsible, mature approach to the spirituality and especially the entheogens, may be a helpful response in these times of global turmoil, when almost every area of human activity is asking or already undergoing a shift – a process of transformation. We also see how this approach and these plant teachers can be a window of possibility for exploring and finding a spiritual way of living, studying and learning about the deepest aspects of human consciousness.
Our team is made up of medicine men with an extensive background from different traditions from Amazon indigenous shamanism and Andean shamanism to Tibetan Buddhism and trans-personal psychology. Our team comes from different part of Peru, Iquitos, Machu Picchu, Puerto Maldonado, but most of us live in the Sacred Valley of Incas, near Cusco. There, in Pisaq, for more than 6 years there is a sacred medicine community, gradually growing and becoming bigger every year.
